I’m published again. I’ve put together another book of puzzles, this time with numbers rather than words. I first came up with the idea for this type of puzzle back in the 80s, as I recall. Been sitting on it all this time, always having other priorities. Now that I’m self-employed, however, I felt the time was right to shift my focus back in time and resurrect some of the ideas of my younger self. There’s a lot more of his ideas on the shelf still, and it’s the job of my older self to publish them for a wide audience to enjoy. I’ve got my work cut out for me.
With Number Search Mazes, you’re presented with a grid. Each cell of the grid is either blocked out or contains a number from 1 to 9. Two of the cells with numbers are highlighted. Starting at either highlighted cell, it’s your job to connect it to the other one, following three rules.
- Rule One, you may only connect a cell to an adjacent cell, whether horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.
- Rule Two, you may only connect to a cell with a value one less than, equal to, or one more than the current cell.
- Rule Three, you may not revisit any cell.
These rules seem simple enough. But even I get stumped at times trying to solve my own puzzles. Granted, I’m often trying to solve them by drawing the lines in my head, not on paper, and that works against me. When you work these, you’ll want to do them on paper, trust me. They will absolutely put your skills of perception to the test.
I put together some free sample puzzles for you to give a try without risking a cent. Download my free booklet of 16 sample number search mazes.
When you’ve worked those 16, if you’re aching to work more, check out my book, 200 Number Search Mazes, available on Amazon. After you finish those, check back on my site or on the Eposic site every so often to see what new puzzle books I have coming out, or subscribe to my blog below and stay informed that way. I plan to publish a new puzzle book at least once a month. They’ll differ as to the type of puzzle, though I do plan to bring more number search mazes to you from time to time, depending on the level of demand for them. Thanks for your support of my work!
