My non-fiction piece, Courier to Seoul, was accepted for Asian Anthology: New Writing Vol. 1. It’s about a trip I made in 1994 on behalf of the US Department of Defense. The editor sent an email saying she loved reading my submission and wanted to include it. There are still steps to be taken before everything is finalized and the anthology is released, but I’m thrilled to have my piece accepted. [Update: I just received a contract and will be signing it right away.] I’ll post more about the anthology as I learn more.
The publisher is Leopard Print Publishing London. The editor is Ivy Ngeow, who has also authored some very fine fiction I’ve had the pleasure of reading. When I first read one of her novels, Heart of Glass, I never dreamed I’d be working with its author some day in any capacity. It’s a large world, and yet in some ways a small one.
